Cooler temps have settled over the central U.P. this week with night lows dipping into the low 30's. The lake run fish are responding accordingly and the fishing has gotten a little easier. Fresh coho and steelhead are present and biting well most days. Kings are still around, but most are targeting other species now. The spin fisherman are using spinners, cranks, spawn and crawlers. The fly guys are doing well with drab streamers and orange nukes or glo bugs. We are running a sale on salmon/steelhead gear at the shop right now so give us a call if you are looking to pick up a new setup. On the guiding side of things I have openings in late October and mid November if you would like to chase coho and steel.
