Water levels have stabilized and most streams are now at their median for this time of year. Iso's, cahills and hex are hatching . Large stones are also present and terrestrial fishing is picking up steam. Inland lakes are fishing very well for bass and pike, but walleye has slowed. We have 5wt through 10wt Temple fork fly rods on sale and they are a great deal at 50% off.
Water levels remain high on many systems which is great for the fish, but it sure can make the fishing tough for the dry fly angler. That being said there are surface opportunities available and some very nice fish are being caught. Drakes have all of my focus right now, but we have various other mayflies out along with stones. The shop is well stocked with flies and we can point you in the right direction to catch the hatch of your choice. Warmwater fishing has been great lately with many large pike, small mouth and walleye being caught on streamers and surface flies. The shop has leeches, minnows and crawlers for walleye fishermen right now. Good luck out there and try to take someone new out for the free fishing weekend.
