We have gotten a break from low water and high temps on local streams and the fishing has picked up. Temperatures on some of the larger systems have dropped quickly and the trout are in a good mood. The white fly hatch is still going on and should last a little longer. Warmwater fishing is doing really well and the walleye bite has turned back on in inland waters.Salmon are starting to move into local streams and we should be fishing kings and pinks in a week or so.I will post a updated salmon report when I have good news!

The heat wave continues in the central U.P. so many of the trout streams are too low and hot to fish. The small feeders are doing very well with many fish being taken on terrestrial patterns and small streamers. We are getting close to our next major hatch which is the White flys and we should start seeing them in a couple weeks. The White fly hatch also means it is time to start looking for our first salmon runs of the year. The kings and pinks will start to move into local streams in mid to late August. The shop is stocked with everything you need for the fall runs so stop by and check out whats new for this year.
