Well it looks like we have a little snow on the way along with some cold temps. The fishing was hot yesterday though. We are still experiencing high water, but many of the rivers have cleared and are safe to wade if you are careful. Water temps have spiked locally and some fish have moved to gravel so the egg bite is on. I fished last night with a friend and we set up in a run behind some active gravel and managed to bring a few to the net. Maxima tippet and strong hooks were very helpful in the fast water. Nuke eggs were the ticket with yellow over orange as the best color.Pressure is still very low because of the conditions so get out there and enjoy some solitude before it gets busy. This week will be prime with the cooler temps. Give us a call at (906) 273-0229 for current conditions and advice on flies. Good luck out there.
